NUTECH'S LIBERTYLINK^® HYBRIDS

Ignite^® is a post-emergence herbicide offering broad-spectrum, systemic, non-selective weed control in corn. LibertyLink^®, Agrisure^® CB/LL, Herculex^® I and Herculex^® XTRA hybrids are developed for application with the Ignite^® herbicide system.

From a crop injury point-of-view, this system is unsurpassed. As with Roundup Ready^® Corn 2, it ultimately leads to higher yield because early season growth is not inhibited by herbicide injury.

Ignite^® provides fast grass and broadleaf weed control in as little as three days.  It controls over 120 grass and broadleaf weeds, including some of the toughest weeds, such as: woolly cupgrass; waterhemp; velvetleaf and wild proso millet. Ignite^® is also environmentally friendly with no herbicide carryover for sensitive crops such as potatoes or sugarbeets that follow corn.  Ignite^® has no recropping restrictions.

The application window for Ignite^® on resistant corn is from planting until 36" of height. Drops are suggested when corn is over 24" tall or has reached the V-7 stage of growth (i.e., 7 developed collars), whichever comes first.

NUTECH'S AGRISURE^® CB/LL HYBRIDS

NuTech’s Agrisure^® CB/LL hybrids (non-restricted hybrids that combine corn borer tolerance with Ignite^® tolerance) are not subject to any marketing restrictions and therefore are fully approved for import into the European Union and all grain channels.

All NuTech Agrisure^® CB/LL hybrids are genetically enhanced to resist feeding by all generations of European corn borer throughout the whole plant, all season long. Additionally, these high-powered NuTech hybrids provide the added benefit of outstanding weed control and excellent crop safety with the Ignite^® herbicide.

NUTECH'S HERCULEX^® I INSECT PROTECTED HYBRIDS

NuTech's Herculex^® I insect protected hybrids (hybrids combining Bt protection with Ignite^® herbicide tolerance) represent a newer family of insect protection. It is one of the most advanced in-plant insect  protection traits available for corn. This powerful trait provides NuTech hybrids with full-season, full-plant, broad-spectrum insect protection from: western bean cutworm; black cutworm; European corn borer; southwestern corn borer; fall armyworm, and also offers intermediate suppression of corn earworm. Hybrids containing Herculex^® I insect protection are also tolerant to Ignite^® herbicide.

These high-powered NuTech hybrids provide the added benefit of outstanding weed control and excellent crop safety with the Ignite^® herbicide system. This herbicide/Bt combination has added an average yield increase of over 13 bpa! That’s over $139 more value per unit. Additionally, as a result of protecting the corn plant from other yield robbers such as molds or diseases, the safety of ethanol DDGs and corn for human and animal feed is also enhanced.

While all corn is vulnerable to insect pests throughout the growing season, early-planted corn is more susceptible to first generation corn borer and black cutworm. Late-planted corn is more severely damaged by second generation European corn borer, southwestern corn borer, fall armyworm and corn earworm. Since Herculex^® I helps limit damage and stress from these insect pests, it helps to ensure your hybrids reach their maximum yield potential, regardless of the planting date!

NUTECH'S ROUNDUP READY^®  CORN 2/ HERCULEX^® I HYBRIDS

The Herculex^® I trait provides tolerance to Ignite^® herbicide which controls more than 100 grass and broadleaf weeds on contact, combined with the Herculex^® I in-plant insect protection which protects the corn plant against European corn borer, southwestern corn borer, western bean cutworm, black cutworm and fall armyworm. These RR2/HXI stacked trait hybrids further expand the weed control options available to growers by also incorporating resistance to glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup^® herbicide. Together, these stacked trait options provide farmers enhanced in-plant insect protection combined with expanded herbicide options and flexibility. As a result, producers are better able to select corn hybrids that best fit the specific needs of their farming operations.

Herculex^® I is part of a family of traits developed in research collaboration between Dow AgroScience and Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. Other technology offerings include Herculex^® RW for corn rootworm protection and Herculex^® XTRA, combining the insect protection offered by both Herculex^® I and Herculex^® RW.

NUTECH'S TRANSGENIC VT3 HYBRIDS

The next generation of YieldGard^® stacked-trait products, YieldGard VT Triple^®, has all the new insect and weed control traits in one seed. And, the new VecTran^® technology contains a highly active, more consistent promoter of the rootworm gene. This improves protein expression and provides a more consistent level of insecticidal protein that is more effectively distributed throughout the root system. Therefore, consistency is increased approximately 10% by contrast with the first generation rootworm products.

The Roundup Ready^® Corn 2 trait lowers risk of crop injury and produces better yield in 71% of trials up to 5.6 bpa over conventional herbicide programs.

YGCB hybrids have provided an average 7 bpa advantage over conventional hybrids, while YGRW hybrids demonstrated an average 8-10 bpa advantage over the leading insecticides.

NUTECH'S ROUNDUP READY^® LEAFY HYBRIDS

The inclusion of corn silage in the diets for cattle continues to increase. In the past, most differences in corn silage and digestibility of corn silage were related to maturity at harvest and less emphasis was placed on hybrid selection. However, within the last several years, new corn hybrids, specific for silage, have appeared on the market. One of these is a leafy hybrid, characterized by having 2 to 4 more leaves above the ear than normal grain and dual-purpose corn hybrids. Leafy hybrids have been bred for improved fiber digestibility, softer cobs and kernels, plus more tonnage than conventional grain hybrids.
